Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-05-26
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how this directory ("the Directory") collects, uses, retains and protects information. It is provided in good faith to give visitors and the people referenced in the Directory a clear understanding of their rights and our practices.
The Directory is a non-commercial reference catalogue of venture funds, accelerators, grants, events and the publicly-named professionals associated with them. Access to person-level data and personal contact details is restricted to an invite-only audience.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
If you submit a form on this site — an access request, a removal request, or general feedback — we collect only the information you include in that form. Submission is voluntary in every case.
2.2 Information collected automatically
We use privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics that record aggregate page views and broad device characteristics. No cross-site identifiers are set, no advertising profile is built, and no individual visitor is identified.
For abuse prevention and rate limiting we may temporarily process a hashed representation of the visitor IP address. Raw IP addresses are not retained.
2.3 Session information
When access is granted via an invite, a session token is set to recognise the authorised visitor on subsequent visits. The token contains no personal data and is removed on sign-out or expiry.
3. Information about listed organisations and individuals
For organisations the Directory may include name, public website, public social handles, general contact addresses, geography, investment focus, stage, and publicly-disclosed portfolio.
For individuals listed in a strictly professional capacity, the Directory may include full name, position, employer, public professional profile links, and — only behind invite-only access — additional professional contact information.
The Directory does not knowingly process special categories of personal data (data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic or biometric data, health information, or data concerning sex life or sexual orientation).
4. Purposes and legal basis
We process information for the following purposes: (i) operating and improving the Directory; (ii) responding to access, removal and correction requests; (iii) preventing abuse and ensuring security; (iv) complying with applicable legal obligations.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation or an equivalent framework applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — the orderly operation of a limited-audience professional reference catalogue, limited to professional information about identifiable professionals in their professional capacity. Visibility of personal contact details is gated behind invite-only access, and any data subject may request removal at any time without justification.
- Consent — for the information you choose to submit through a form on this site.
- Compliance with legal obligations — where applicable.
5. Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Directory entries are reviewed on each rebuild and removed upon valid request. Form submissions and related operational records are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted or anonymised.
6. Disclosure and sharing
We do not sell information, do not share it with advertisers, and do not redistribute Directory content. We may share information with carefully selected service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, content delivery, infrastructure, communications) under written commitments to confidentiality and equivalent data protection standards.
We may disclose information where required by applicable law, to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Directory, its users, or third parties.
7. International transfers
Service providers may process information in jurisdictions other than yours. Where the General Data Protection Regulation or an equivalent framework applies, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (including, where relevant, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
8. Security
We apply reasonable and proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure; however, we review our practices on an ongoing basis.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to: (i) obtain confirmation of whether we process information about you and request access to such information; (ii) request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; (iii) request erasure; (iv) object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests; (v) request restriction of processing; (vi) where applicable, request portability; (vii) withdraw any consent you have given; and (viii) lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your jurisdiction.
To exercise any of these rights, use the privacy request form. Verified requests are addressed without undue delay and in any event within the timeframes prescribed by applicable law.
10. Children
The Directory is intended for a professional audience. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children.
11. Contact
For any question, request or concern regarding this Privacy Policy, please use the privacy request form. Requests are routed to the operator directly.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Directory after such updates constitutes acknowledgement of the revised Policy.
